Why work with Lindsay Jayne
Planning a joyful, laid-back, Maine wedding that feels more like a vacation celebration for you and your guests, that is also a reflection of you as a couple, involves a lot of careful planning and organization. A wedding has come to represent a significant investment and therefore calls for careful management and coordination to avoid stress, mistakes and undue pressure.
With our knowledge of the Pine Tree State, our shared expertise in event planning and floral design, our attention to and respect for details (both aesthetic and logistical), our love of making plans and staying organized, our creativity, and consistent communication with our clients, we help couples (just like you!) have laid-back, stress-free and memorable wedding days that leave their guests saying “this was the most beautiful and absolute best wedding ever!”
How We Help Our Couples
We have been planning and designing events for over 10 years together. With Elizabeth’s background in event planning and Raechel’s background in floral design, we have great attention and respect for details, both aesthetically and logistically.
Our love for making plans, being creative, and staying organized really helps us connect with our couples.
We like to work as a team with our couples, and the only way teams can work together is through communication. Communication is key to coordinating any successful event or designing any element of your wedding. Over the years we have developed a style of consistent communication with our couples from the moment they reach out to us.
We want to make sure that our couples are absolutely thrilled with the wedding coordinating and floral design process and the Lindsay Jayne experience. That’s why we’re here for our couples from the moment they book us. We’re great at brainstorming and are here to help you design a day that’s fun, memorable, and stress-free! This style of working really helps us and our couples plan stress-free, detail oriented, and memorable wedding days where they are relaxed, present and in-the-moment and enjoying their wedding to the fullest!
“You are both very attentive to detail but also laid back and can go with the flow. Raechel was very detail oriented with the floral design and arrangements. We had a lot of subtle changes along the way, or things we were not sure about, and you both guided us through everything.”
-Sampson & Megan
Our couples are either originally from Maine but have moved away or have some special connection to Maine. Whether it be childhood vacations, family summer homes in the Pine Tree State or some other affinity for this special place, they know Maine is the place to marry in!
They’re laid-back and fun loving! They choose to work with us because they want to hand over the reigns on their wedding day (or before) so that they can be present and in the moment, enjoying every second of their special day.
They like to add a bit of themselves into their wedding plans by incorporating personal touches as homages to who they are as a couple. This is either through the flowers they choose, small DIY touches, the music that is played, or some other special detail.
They’re able to make decisions or know when to ask us for a bit of guidance. They become our friends and feel comfortable asking us for our honest opinions and advice. Above all, they know we have their backs and that their wedding day is going to be great for them, their families, and guests!
Who is Lindsay Jayne?
We are sisters, Raechel and Elizabeth, and the brains behind Lindsay Jayne. Lindsay and Jayne are actually our middle names, which speaks to our more creative and playful sides. We create and coordinate fun, laid-back, stress-free, vacation-like wedding celebrations and floral designs for fun loving couples throughout the state of Maine!
The Lindsay (Raechel)
If you’ve always dreamed of whimsical, one-of-a-kind floral arrangements that incorporate unique elements such as kale, oats and other homegrown and wild flowers than look no further than my designs! I am a Professional Certified Florist in the state of Maine and I’ve had a life-long love affair with plants and gardening that started as a baby when my parents would put my playpen in their garden so that they could keep an eye on me while they worked. In addition to growing and arranging flowers, I also design evergreen wreaths and arrangements. When not in the garden, I enjoy spending time with my faithful companion, a yellow lab, Molly-Wog and perfecting the craft of sock knitting.
The Jayne (Elizabeth)
I am your go-to gal if you want a wedding day where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a glass of champagne with your BFFs before you walk down the aisle on your wedding day. I have over 10 years of experience coordinating live events in Washington, DC (including presidential inaugural balls with Sting, Elvis Costello and the Secret Service) and I take great pride in executing events that run smoothly and seemingly effortlessly. When not busy being a planner of things, I can be found in my kitchen mastering the art of Julia Child’s recipes (my hero!) and serving them up to my husband, Chase, on my retro Jadeite dishware collection.
